The Coastal Cowgirl Aesthetic has gone viral on TikTok and I think it’s going to continue to be popular going into summer. If you aren’t familiar with the trend it combines relaxed pieces in coastal colors with western staples like cowboy hats and boots. It’s a really cute look and a bit unexpected.  I’ve put some outfit ideas together to make getting the look a breeze.

Coastal Cowgirl Outfit with Blue Stripe Dress

Coastal cowgirl aesthetic outfit with blue and white striped dress, denim jacket, straw cowboy hat and white cowboy boots from amazon.

This blue stripe dress from Amazon is a perfect coastal cowgirl piece when paired with white cowboy boots. I like the feminine pieces next to the rougher western wear ones. I did a lot of pearl and shell accessories to capture the coastal feel in these outfits. I have this dress and jacket and feel they both fit  TTS for me in a large.

I love this pair of shortalls – they do run a tad big so size down if between sizes. They are super comfy and so easy to wear. I love the look with a white tee but you could definitely add a pop of color instead.

Coastal Cowgirl Outfit with Swimsuit and Coverup

I’ve seen a HUGE trend towards bringing the coastal cowgirl aesthetic to the beach so here’s how I would do it. The Aerie swimsuit and coverup in neutral beiges brings home the cowgirl part of the look. I could totally see wearing this to a party.

Coastal Cowgirl Accessories

I did want to take a second to highlight the accessories I used for the outfits. When trying to put together a very specific aesthetic look like this I like to try to use staples from by wardrobe I already have then use accessories for the more trendy pieces. A pair of cowboy boots is a must if you don’t have a pair and opt for a straw cowboy hat to keep the look coastal. I picked lots of pearl and shell jewelry for a beachy feel.

What are your thoughts on Coastal Cowgirl? Will you be trying to put together a few looks from your wardrobe?
