This month I teamed up with an amazing group of women for a styling challenge with a message close to my heart. Chic in Every Shade challenges women in a wide range of different skin tones to style the same piece of clothing. I love showcasing how beauty comes in all colors. This month we tackled distressed denim shorts.

For my take on this classic I selected a pair of Liverpool Vickie Shorts. I like that the distressing is subtle and they still look dressy. Fit is TTS and the inseam isn’t super short so they are mom friendly.

Because of the distressing I chose this romantic top from Amazon. I love the delicate lace juxtaposed with the rougher vibes on the shorts. The neckline is probably my favorite feature. It’s so feminine and beautiful. I sized up to an XL because the fabric doesn’t have any stretch.

For accessories I added a simple Kendra Scott pendant and a Victoria Emerson wrap bracelet. I kept the look muted and neutral with shell pink Tory Burch Miller sandals.
