8 super cute and affordable ideas to transition your wardrobe to spring. Mom outfit inspiration and budget friendly style.

When considering what to write about for the March Budget-Friendly Fashion Round-Up I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to focus on- Spring Transition Wardrobe ideas! Like much of the country, our weather has been oscillating between winter and spring temps (with some summer ones as well). Planning an outfit has become downright comical and I’m never sure what to expect from one day to the next. We tend to have really cool mornings that heat up by midday. For example, this morning we had frost on the roof when we woke up and it was 80* at lunch time. Because of this drastic variation throughout the day layers are essential for me.

In addition to outer layer ideas that are on trend and easy on the budget, there are some other fun pieces to make the most of this transition season. I tried to make sure to include some that can also make the leap into summer. There are some trendy pieces mixed in with some closet staples.

Katie from Sisters and Scarves

First up are jackets! This one is from Old Navyand Katie says it is the perfect weight and the lining is really soft. Also water resistant for all of those Spring showers. She says it’s TTS with room to layer so you don’t need to size up.

Brittan from Bluebonnets and Babes

Britten shows two ways to rock white jeans for spring in these pics. Her pink field jacketis from Old Navy and is SO good (I have it in green)! It’s a really versatile piece and the weight is perfect. I find it TTS. Her oyster gray rollneck sweater from J. Crew is a bit of a splurge but is on sale as of post time. It’s really cute though and I love the detail. If you need a pair of cute white jeans she recommends this pair from Universal Thread at Target.

Becca from Simply Becca

A denim jacket is a classic and this distressed one from Old Navyis a steal! Another white denim win, too! Her waffle knit top features a cute criss cross cut out in the back and was an Amazon find!

Melanie from Lipstick and Lollipops

This cute camo jacket is a Universal Thread Target find that made quite a stir when it was released! I don’t see the camo trend going anywhere soon so if you like it this is a really cute way to incorporate it into your wardrobe.

Jessica from Wear It For Less

Jessica’s cardiganis an Amazon find and perfect for spring! It comes in a wide array of colors and I love the snaps. Cardigans are my favorite layering piece and so versatile.

Nicole from Take It From Nicole

I LOVE this look and have worn this outfit at least three times in the past month. The blush cocoon cardigan paired with my camo tee make such a pretty combo. The blush adds a nice feminine touch to the camo. The Levi’s Signature pull on jeans are my current favorite pair and so comfortable and forgiving. I accessorize with my Vince Cameo booties and cute handmade teardrop earrings.

Becca from Pineapples and Palazzos

I can’t write a post about spring without something floral! Becca’s floral dressis from Old Navy and also comes in solids. I love that you can throw a jacket or cardigan over it for spring and go sleeveless in the summer. Her wedge espadrilleswill also transition into summer with ease.

Tina’s Loose Fit Jumpsuit is an Amazon find and she says it’s the most comfortable thing she owns! This is fun to layer under a jacket or cardigan now for Spring then use it as a bathing suit cover up this summer!
