My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Try On is ALWAYS my favorite post to put together every year. This year’s looks a little different for a myriad of reasons. Normally, I take a pilgrimage to my local Nordstrom and spend an entire day shooting outfits and making notes of fit, fabrications, etc. This year not only did I have Covid and mask wearing etc to contend with but I also had knee surgery the week before which resulted in complications that had me hospitalized when the sale launched. Talk about bad timing!
I’m not one to dwell on negatives so I quickly got to work deciding what my Try On post would look like this year. I decided that I still wanted to do some in store try-ons but scaled it back significantly- I only spent about 2 hours at the actual store since I quickly get exhausted on crutches. I also had to try on a lot of the items with an oversized pair of shorts I could get over my brace. I skipped doing any jeans or pants try ons in store to avoid injuring myself. The other half of my post I completed at home where I had help and it was just easier to take breaks as needed etc.
I always put everything I have into my NSale try ons but this one particularly is the result of blood, sweat, and tears- literally! I hope you enjoy taking a look at what I loved and my post helps you with your Nsale shopping.
The Caslon Rounded V-neck Tees are some of my favorite every year at the NSale and I always pick a few up. At just over $12 they are extremely budget friendly. This year I was able to score this cute animal print. I’m hoping the red restocks and I can snag that one, too. I find these true to size (wearing a large).
Must Have Cardigans
Leith Cozy Long Cardigan
This cardigan is dreamy! It is sooooo soft and just the perfect cozy sweater to curl up in. I love the pink but I think I also need the chili red if I can catch a restock. I sized down to a medium but I don’t think you would have trouble ordering your normal size; it’s pretty forgiving.
Caslon Open Front Cardigan
This Caslon cardigan is super cozy and I feel it will be really warm for days you need something a little heavier. I love the stripes so much but there are also solid colors. I paired it with Spanx Faux Leather leggings which are a must-have Nsale buy if you don’t already own a pair.
Barefoot Dreams Long Cardigan
If you don’t already have a Barefoot Dreams Cardigan you NEED one! They are the softest things ever and worth every penny. I like both my long cardigan and the circle cardigan but if you can only get one I recommend the long at the NSale because you can usually catch the circle cardigan on sale other times of the year and the long one never goes on sale. I size down to a medium in these.
The Coziest Sweater
I saw this Topshop Space Dyed Turtleneck Sweater during preview and HAD to have it! I’m in love with the colors and it’s so fluffy and cozy. I ordered my regular size large so I could pair it with leggings and it’s just as pretty as I hoped it would be.
The Prettiest Wrap Dress
This Eliza J dress was another piece that caught my eye during preview and immediately landed on my wishlist. The pattern reminded my of watercolors and I thought it would make a great work and church dress. I like that the v-neck is sewn in place so it doesn’t move. It’s a faux wrap style with a pull on closure so it’s easy to take on and off. I sized up one and I’m glad I did because it would have been snug in my regular size.
Super Soft Tunic
This Gibson Cozy V-neck Tunic was MADE for leggings. Seriously- if you love leggings you NEED this one. It’s so incredibly soft and the fit is perfection. I sized down to a medium. I went with this print but there are also solid options if you prefer those.
Cozy Wrap Top
This Gibson Surplice Blouson Sleeve Wrap Top is made of the super soft fabric Gibson is known for and it does not disappoint! I love the billowed sleeves and I think this would be super easy to dress up or down. I like that the v-neck is stitched so it doesn’t fall open. I sized down to a medium.
I thought these Blouses from Caslon were so pretty and feminine. Great workwear or pair with jeans for a more casual look. True to size, wearing a large.
The It Bag
This Madewell Transport Tote was the number one item on my wishlist this year and I absolute love it! The size is perfect for carting around all the stuff I need and the embroidered stripes give it a little something extra to really make it special. I’m obsessed with it and will definitely be using this one for years. If you prefer a smaller crossbody, there’s also a really cute one that matches the tote.
My shoes didn’t arrive in time to photograph (boo!) so I had to make do with ones I have. I did, however, shoot some real life photos of my favorites in store for ya’ll.
Must Have Beauty Buy
One last item before I wrap it up- I ALWAYS buy a Fresh Sugar Lip Therapy set at the Anniversary Sale because it’s my FAVORITE.
A Word Of Thanks
I have to give a few shoutouts to the women who helped me pull this post together on one leg; without them I could have never managed to do this. Thanks to my friend Kelsey for literally dressing me for my at home try ons. I could not have managed without you! I also have to give a shoutout to my girl Hillary at the Tampa Nordstrom for helping me get all the right pieces, sizes, etc in store when I could hardly walk. She’s a gem and if you are local you MUST stop by and see her.
