I am really excited about reviewing these snack bags made by The Budding Seamstress! Ziploc bags are one of the things I can’t seem to get away from using. I use plastic containers when I can but sometimes you just need a baggie. This is the solution to my problem!
The bag arrived wrapped in a pretty bow and is so soft! (If you read my blog often you know I am obsessed with things that are soft) The black and white pattern is very cute and trendy and matches my lunch box perfectly.
The snack bag is about the size of my hand. The quality is very high and the stitching is perfect! The bag seems very sturdy- like it would hold up to a lot of abuse. Sarah @ The Budding Seamstress also makes sandwich size bags. I love this size because it’s perfect for almonds, trail mix, or other on the go snacks.
Once I unwrapped the bag I wanted to try it out. The bag works just like the plastic snack baggies- you sort of flip the top inside out.
Once you flip it the top is open so you can easily fill it with goodies!
Once you fill it you flip it back over and are ready to go. Sarah says that you can throw the bags in with the rest of your laundry- no special care needed.
I feel like these bags are great for lunch boxes because they take up way less room than trying to fit everything into plastic containers and you don’t have to worry about chemicals leaching out of the plastic. I also can see myself tossing one in my purse filled with my go to emergency snack- almonds!
You can get your own snack bags at Sarah’s Etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheBuddingSeamstress. She is a work at home mom and very talented. The snack bags cost $4 and sandwich bags are $5. The bags are Made in America. This is a great way to use less plastic and save money on Ziploc baggies.
